The Local In Prescott
Just off of Gurley on Sheldon Street there’s a small, seemingly ordinary, place called The Local. The creative dishes, bright decor, and upbeat atmosphere make the entire experience extraordinary!
A little over a year ago, Sheryl Strong and Rob Mackey launched a Kickstarter campaign that the community was more than happy to support. By mid-April 2015, their doors opened to the public and I wish they were never closed (every Wednesday, by the way).
True to it’s name, The Local strives to source ingredients from local farms and vendors. Naturally, the largely farm-to-table approach used by The Local means that patrons to the restaurant receive delicious, made-from-scratch dishes that use fresh, whole ingredients. Aside from menu items listed, Sheryl and her team also prepare a number of fresh-baked goodies each day (my wife’s favorite are the cinnamon rolls).
With a 4.9/5 Star average on Facebook, it’s no surprise that The Local is one of BEST places in Prescott for brunch (not to mention the other specialty items). Take a look at the pictures they have on their Facebook page, it’s guaranteed to get your mouth watering.
If that wasn’t incentive enough, they also have catering and delivery services available!
Their popularity and brunch hours ensure that they’re also busy, but we’ve never waited more than 5-10 minutes for a table. Well worth it, in my opinion.
If you’re waiting for a sign, this is it. Head on over to The Local!
