Imagine hearing your kids rant and rave about something other than their latest selfie post. Imagine watching them get lost in the wonders of Ponderosa Pines, winding trails, and wild flowers in full bloom. Can you hear their stories? Can you imagine the memories?

If this is what you're looking for this summer than look no further than the

Highland Center for Natural History

Here is an insert from their website:

Formed in 1996, the Highlands Center for Natural History is a science-based non-profit organization developed to foster an appreciation for and knowledge of the natural wonders of the Central Highlands of Arizona. Operating on an 80-acre campus near Lynx Lake through a Special Use Permit with Prescott National Forest, the Highlands Center is a hub for lifelong learning, designed to invite discovery of the wonders of nature through on and offsite programs reaching over 15,000 children and adults a year and supported by contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and community partners.
In our classroom without walls you will discover Ponderosa Pine covered mountains, deeply shaded riparian habitats, chaparral and woodland, remarkable geologic formations, and amazing vistas, in addition to all manner of forest inhabitants.

Get lost in the great outdoors this summer. Check out their website for local events and outings they offer throughout the year. Their summer programs are available to all ages so feel free to soak in the knowledge and fun as parents too.
