Boats On Watson Lake

Did you know that you can put any size boat you want into Watson Lake?

True story that came from one of the park rangers himself!  The myths about the boats not being able to have an engine or that the engine needs to be electric are exactly that... myths.  Before you go put your 60 mph bass boat in there though, you need to know that the entire lake is a no-wake zone, so you're not allowed to open that baby up and see what she can do.  It is also closed off to swimming (even though you could water ski on it in the early 1990's) because of potential bacteria problems in the water.

Just a thought for those that may see the occasional and rather large bass boat being launched in the water.  It's okay, as long as they don't make a wake.

Happy Boating!
