Love is in the fresh, mountain air here in Prescott AZ!

With Valentine’s Day less than two weeks away, many love birds are searching for local goodies to give their special person. At the top of this list are, of course, the tried and true combination of flowers and chocolate.

Prescott offers two exemplary florists; Allan’s Flowers of Prescott and the Prescott Flower Shop.

While both shops are amazing and currently offering a selection of Valentine’s Day arrangements, I will say that Allan’s Flowers of Prescott has the slight edge because it is where I buy my wife her flowers. That tidbit aside, both are wonderful selections for a custom or themed floral arrangement.

Allan’s Flowers of Prescott is located on E. Gurley Street and their selection is pretty impressive. You can also search their website by special event, or by flower. There is also the option to search by flower, in case you’re looking for an arrangement with your love’s favorite flowers, or you can opt for a customized arrangement. To top all of that off, Allan’s offer what they call a Luxurious Indulgence Chocolate Lover basket. Present that basket alongside your specially selected bouquet and you have a winner!

The Prescott Flower Shop is another great choice and offers something for everyone and every occasion. Their Valentine’s Day selection is quite lovely, and I know my wife would love the Crazy in Love Daisies arrangement. On their website, you also have the option to search by special event or opt for a customized arrangement. A nifty feature is the ability to add balloons, chocolates, or a stuffed animal as you check-out online. Awesome!

And now, for the finishing touch…CHOCOLATES!

To my knowledge, Prescott has only one shop that specializes in gourmet chocolate and candy-making. That place is Prescott Pralines and it is located on the top floor of the Bashford Courts shopping center on Gurley Street. Though you can view some of their goodies online, it’s best to take the time to walk into the store and allow the scent of gourmet goodness to seep into your clothing and uplift your spirit. Aside from chocolates, the store also offers a selection of fudge, butter-creams, pralines, and a number of other treats. My wife adores their Victoria Toffee and I’m sure to include in a boxed assortment. Just walk on in and ask the person at the counter for assistance, they’re sure to help you create a memorable (and delicious!) assortment for your loved one.
